TIG torch stand
(Scroll Down for Images)

Something else I needed in a hurry was some sort of stand to hold my TIG torch. When you finish a weld the tungsten and the cup are very hot and you need a safe place to rest the torch. The half circle cut-outs at each end are different radii and are covered in rubber so that the torch sits firmly and straight.

My favorite projects are these small ones. The stand was built in a couple of hours and swung into use the day I made it.
I had no idea I was going to build this when I did. I was in the shed and was sick of precariously resting the torch on whatever I could find, so I got inspired and made it. It is used whenever I TIG weld which is very often.
