Angle Grinder Jig
(Scroll Down for Images)

I had to cut large sheets of 2mm thick cold rolled sheet metal. The only tool I had on hand to do the job was an angle grinder. So I decided to make a jig for it so I could run it against a straight edge and hopefully make some nice straight cuts.

I'll admit that not all of my projects are successful, and this one proved to be one of those projects I wish I had never started. When using it, the steel would get too hot, expand and clamp tightly around the cutting discs. The disc would either stall the grinder, or explode.

I had fun making it, and it was my first TIG welding project. It looks great... I just wish it would work the same!
