With the arrival of the new lathe, reorganising space in the shed was suddenly priority number one. The lathe was positioned where the grinders had been for the last 20 or so years. The Makita was bolted to a stand I made around the year 2000. The old Webster bench grinder and the disc linisher were mounted on a cupboard/stand I made around the same time. I also have another bench grinder that is used for metal polishing and had been floating around the workshop and getting in the way for some time.

The solution was to mount all 4 machines on an old cupboard/stand and add some castors so it could be moved around as needed. "This shouldn't take me too long" I mistakenly convinced myself. I finished the rebuild about a week after starting it. I did wind up doing a bit more than originally planned, but anytime you work on something old you always seem to find more bits that should be replaced or added. Examples: The work-light and the swivelling mount for the polisher. I'm happy with the end result and it's good to have all 4 machines back in action.
